Prediction & prevention

All inclusive "Prediction & prevention" based border security paradigm

The attacks of September 11th, 2001, are recorded in collective memory pools as a defining event in modern human history. Until this day, it contributes to a significant, continuous change of perception and transformation of homeland security and defence paradigms that urge governments across the world to accelerate prevention driven border security programs.

Throughout the years, traditional border violations prevention strategies involved interdiction, pre-emption through routine screening, and deterrence, together or separately.

While proven effective in some cases, none has evolved into an all-inclusive, comprehensive, prevention-oriented system.
Implementing a “prediction and prevention” based border strategy requires several primary strategic shifts – global border security strategy & foreign policies alignment; stakeholders coordination and collaboration and adopting advanced technologies to drive change in reactive approaches.

Border protection authorities face a complex mission; facilitating global trade while maintaining the security of the country and its citizens. Faced with border skirmishes between neighbouring countries, drug cartels, human traffickers and nefarious state actors, border authorities and law enforcement entities have a challenging task at hand.

Criminal groups are becoming more innovative in their mode of operation, and authorities need to continually reexamine their security measures, adopt proactive approaches, and implement newer and more advanced technologies to ensure their continued level of preparedness and capacity to mitigate or react to threats rapidly and accurately

Adopting a holistic approach, TAR IDEAL encompasses advanced technologies and methods to monitor and mitigate border incursions and illegal trafficking from air, land and sea.

From surveillance & monitoring to detection, communication and monitoring solutions through unmanned aerial systems (UAS), satellite and radar to provide a coordinated and comprehensive preventative approach for responding to border security needs.
